Ashley Allen Roberts was born on September 14th 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona which is located in the United States of America. She began dancing at the age of 3 and singing at the age of 9. Her father, Patrick Allen, was a drummer and played for the Mamas and the Papas. He later became a car dealer. Her mother, Peggy Lorraine, was a Pilates instructor and they both inspired her to be a part of the entertainment industry. When she grew up, she originally wanted to become a marine biologist because she loved dolphins and the ocean.

During high school summer breaks she had traveled to California to study modern dance but grew up trained in a variety of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. After high school, she moved permanently to Los Angeles. From there on, she became famous. She appeared in television commercials and lots of music videos for artists like Pink, Counting Crows, Josh Groban and Aaron Carter.

1999 - 2002

Within six months of her move to Los Angeles she had joined the burlesque group The Pussycat Dolls, which were founded by Robin Antin, Christina Applegate and Carla Kama at Johnny Depp's Viper Room. They performed their sexy and flirtatious dance routines with celebrity guests like Carmen Electra, Pamela Anderson, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani.

2004 - 2006

After a few years of performing in the burlesque group, she moved on to join the recording group The Pussycat Dolls along with members Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt and Carmit Bachar. Originally her nickname in the band was "Barbie Doll" but to avoid troubles with Mattel they changed it to "Angel Doll".

On September 13th 2005, The Pussycat Dolls released their debut album "PCD" which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 before going on to sell over 7 million copies worldwide. They became the most famous and successful girl group since The Spice Girls and Destiny's Child. Hit singles included: "Don't Cha", "Stickwitu", "Beep", "Buttons", "I Don't Need A Man" and "Wait A Minute".

2008 - 2009

The Pussycat Dolls released their second studio album on September 19th 2008 called "Doll Domination". The album debuted at #4 on the US album charts, selling 79,000 copies in its first week. There's also a solo song of Ashley on the deluxe edition called "Played", which she also performed on the european leg of their Doll Domination World Tour in 2009. Hit singles include: "When I Grow Up", "Whatcha Think About That", "I Hate This Part", "Bottle Pop", "Jai Ho" and "Hush Hush; Hush Hush".

Also during that time, Ashley made her debut in the commercial film industry as Brooke in the dance/drama/romance movie "Make It Happen".

2010 - 2011

In February, Ashley left The Pussycat Dolls to go solo and pursue a career as an actress while still focusing on music. Ashley recorded the song "A Summer Place" to pay homage to the original song sung by Percy Faith in 1959, which also got released on iTunes. She started working on her first solo album. People got to see Ashley as a host for the first time, such as being a host on "Maxim Does Spring Break" for E! Network, "Ambush Karaoke" for MTV, as a commentator on several VH1 "100 Greatest" episodes and as a guest judge on "Dance your ass off" on Oxygen.

She shared her compassionate heart by putting her attention on a range of charity work for Greenfriends, Embracing the World and the Amma.org causes. That same year, Ashley also co-authored a book for young people with Carmit Bachar and Christel Hughes called "Be The Star That You Are" the proceeds to benefit charity. She also lauched her own range of beach lingerie called "White Laundry" in Australia. Later in the year, Ashley got signed to a small record label called Global Nation founded by Antoine Bordelon, which shortly after she left again.

2012

The past few years Ashley has been working non-stop on her debut solo album. She worked with various producers and song writers such as The Invaders who produced a lot of songs on her debut album which is set to be released in 2013. The same year, Ashley was supposed to be the host of a new reality TV show entitled "WWE Legends' House", although unfortunately the show got cancelled.

In October, Ashley released a cover of Bobby Newberry's song "All In A Day" for free. She also appeared in the TV show "90210" as Penny, a stripping instructor. On November 11th, Ashley released her first solo single called "Yesterday" on iTunes and Amazon, along with a music video. The same day she joined the british version of "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here", where she came 2nd place.

2013 AND PRESENT

The jungle really kicked off her solo career as a host and singer in the UK. Ashley quickly became the nation's new sweetheart. In January, Ashley was introduced as the new judge on the british TV show "Dancing On Ice" on ITV1. Shortly after that, Ashley became the new host of Ant VS Dec on "Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway".

Ashley landed a huge advertising deal with Garnier, where she became the new spokesmodel and face of the Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer.
